The project is the restoration and
repurposing of the famous Old Bray
Head Hotel, Bray, County Wicklow.
Located at the Bray Head end of the
famous promenade. This hotel played
host to many cinematic stars working at
the Ardmore Studios nearby including
Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor. For
many locals it also hosted many important
functions, dances and was a popular
spot for decades. There are plans to
repurposed the hotel into apartments
and for a restaurant and bar.

Challenges
There are a number of stages to this
redevelopment.
This property is large with promenade
frontage and other sides to the property
with potential for unauthorised access.
There is no power supply or internet
connection.
The objective was to secure the
compound cabins, site generators,
moveable plant, theft, vandalism and
trespass.
The initial phase involved part demolition,
excavation, removal and clearances work
followed by the initial ground and
preparation for utilities works.
